really hate it when a scientist starts talking about a tree "helping" other trees, a dying tree "leaving legacies" etc. How about an simper explanation that it's just easier to take carbon from a dying tree? thick descriptions of the temperate forest and moving narrative of her family history, but when it comes to science, I have to say it's full of bullshit

@maoyingtao 我当时觉得是很新奇的文本。有推荐从事林业工作的家中长辈看这本书,想想可能也会被这样吐槽,尴尬哈哈。跨物种的“拟人”形容确实很棘手,虽然能召唤更多人共情其他类生物,产生社会影响,但总有种有目的论的奇怪倾向。。请问老师最想批评的是这种不严谨的叙述吗?还是她本身方法很有问题呢?
