There is just no reason for chinese people to “celebrate” Christmas. First of all what is Christmas? Santa isn’t ever in china. There is no culture presence of Christmas here. I did feel very special a few years ago about Christmas like it was holy or magical, but now that I’m more grounded in reality, there’s really nothing that can save me easily.

When you are young you are often taken care of. Then you would hope that the society or your job treats you just as well. And you imagine a big man called Santa will bless you. Because you want to think you are loved even when no one is close to you.

But then again, I don’t think Santa or Christmas means that much for chinese. It’s just another excuse for them to buy things. Money is a good religion after all. status.dun4real.org/2023/12/26
