Blake: The reason Milton wrote in fetters when he wrote of Angels & God, and at liberty when of Devils & Hell, is because he was a true Poet and of the Devil's party without knowing it.

总感觉把paradise lost里lucifer的核心定义为daddy issue听起来太过草率且不专业，然而由于他做事的动机确实是“我爸说什么我就要反着来”，所以又很合适……
弥尔顿形容路西法的圆盾：the broad circumference hung on his shoulders like the moon, whose orb through optic glass the Tuscan artist views……in her spotty globe.
经历了一次精神高潮……地狱血河里一轮象牙白的月亮🤲真会写啊
路西法在星战宇宙里约等于安纳金天行者（又在胡乱类比！ 
非常熟练地deals in absolutes：better to reign in hell, than serve in heaven，或者：awake, arise, or be forever fallen
同时又是the chosen one (literally bruh you were God's favourite kid) 由于自我认知里高尚的动机背叛了长久以来陈腐的统治✌
看完奶剧再读失乐园我脑子里出现的Azazel/Ezekiel/Lucifer等等全是你剧里的cast 
不能说和弥尔顿描写的完全一致只能说是毫无关系
Philip Pullman给paradise lost写的intro和梗概永远让我先点头再摇头 
之前他否定rhyming必要性的时候就是前面中肯后面激进
再读到他评价弥尔顿在BOOK II对语言的驾驭：sensuous power of the language
我：*点头*
Pullman：no one, not even Shakespeare, surpasses Milton in his command (...) of English words
我：哈哈神经病
intro谈读诗的时候说when they thought they were bothered and bewildered, they were in fact being bewitched🥺
这样想确实浪漫不少
